Understanding Imposter Phenomenon (IP) amongst Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) in Singapore

This project aims to investigate the prevalence of Imposter Phenomenon (IP) and its relationship with burnout amongst AHP professionals from Diagnostic Radiography (DR), Occupational Therapy (OT), Physiotherapy (PT) and Speech and Language Therapy (SLT), in Singapore.  

This research serves an important first step which will enable us to develop strategies and/or resources to help increase AHP awareness of and mitigate IP and burnout in their career.   

Who can participate?
We are looking to survey AHP professionals who meet the criteria below:
1. Full-time Diagnostic Radiography (DR), Occupational Therapy (OT), Physiotherapy (PT) or Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) practitioners
2. Full registration with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
3. Age Range: 18 – 65 years old

What will participation entail?
If you agree to participate, you will be asked to fill out a survey.
You will need to set aside no more than 20 minutes to complete the following:
1. Read the Participant Information Sheet (PIS) and provide consent to participate (2 minutes)
2. Screening Form (1 minute)
3. Participant Demographic Form (2 minutes)
4. Clance Imposter Phenomenon Scale (CIPS) (5 minutes) with 2 open-ended questions (4 minutes)
5. Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) (5 minutes)
6. Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) (1 minute)

This survey is ANONYMOUS.

Participation is entirely voluntary. You may ask questions or withdraw at any time during the research.

In appreciation of the time and effort, participants will be offered a $5 voucher when they complete the survey. Participants who choose to receive the voucher will be asked to provide their name, email address, and contact number. These personal details will be collected, stored, and processed separately from the survey responses to preserve the anonymity of the data.
