Continuing Professional Education (CPE) consists of educational activities that serve to maintain, develop or increase the knowledge, skills and professional performance of registered Allied Health Professionals (AHPs).
The implementation of CPE ensures practice standards are maintained and steadily improved across our profession. The provision of quality and up-to-date allied health services is of utmost importance to safeguard the public’s interest.
CPE will be rolled out in two phases.

A voluntary phase will commence on 1st March 2024. The voluntary phase allows AHPs and educational providers to experience the CPE system. The voluntary phase prepares AHPs for the mandatory phase.

The mandatory phase will commence from 1 January 2026 and fulfilling CPE requirements will be required to for the renewal of the Practising Certificate (PC) from 1 January 2026 onwards.
